इस महाविद्यालय में राजनीति विज्ञान विभाग में स्नातकोत्तर स्तर पर 20 विद्यार्थियों के प्रवेश की अनुमति के साथ अध्यापन की शासन द्वारा स्वीकृति और बाद में विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा अनुमति शिक्षण सत्र 2020-2021 में मिली।
विश्वविद्यालय ने पाठ्यक्रम के पहले वर्ष (प्रथम दो सेमेस्टर) के लिए अस्थायी सम्बद्धता भी दे दी है। जैसे ही महाविद्यालय में तृतीय सेमेस्टर प्रारम्भ होगा, दूसरे वर्ष की सम्बद्धता के लिए भी कार्रवाई प्रारम्भ कर दी जायेगी।
विश्वविद्यालय की व्यवस्था के अनुरूप स्नातकोत्तर पाठ्यक्रम सेमेस्टर पद्धति से चलते हैं। पाठ्यक्रम भी विश्वविद्यालय स्तर पर तैयार किया जाता है और पूरे विश्वविद्यालय क्षेत्र के लिए एक समान होता है।
लक्ष्य:
राजनीति विज्ञान का सम्बन्ध राजनीति से हैं, पर उस अर्थ में नहीं जैसी राजनीति के सम्बन्धमें आम मान्यता है, बल्कि राज्य संचालन की कला के रूप में।
इस कारण विभाग का उद्देश्य ऐसे नागरिकों का निर्माण करना है जो यह समझते हैं कि राज्य कैसे कार्य करता है, संविधान और इसका महत्व क्या है, और संविधान कैसे अन्य कानूनों से भिन्नहै।
इसी से यह आशा भी की जा सकती है कि एक जागरुक नागरिक अधिक अनुशासित, कानून का पालन करने वाला होगा, और उसके मूल्यांकन अधिक रचनात्मक होंगे।
Teaching at Post Graduate level in Political Science in this college was approved by the government and permitted by the University in the academic session 2020-2021. with student intake capacity of 20.
University also granted temporary affiliation for the first year (first two semesters) of the course. As soon as third semester starts, the college shall strive to get affiliation for the second semester as well.
As per the University pattern, the PG course runs on semester basis. The syllabus is designed at the University level and is common to all colleges and departments in the University's jurisdiction.
THE GOAL:
Political Science is a subject that deals with politics, not in the term politicking as the general perception goes, but in the sense of theory and philosophy of statecraft.
The department, therefore, envisages creating citizens who are aware of how the state functions, what the Constitution and its importance is, and how it is different from law. It is further expected that an aware and awakened citizen shall be law abiding and more constructive in its criticisms.
